How Many Parks Are In Disneyland Paris?
Disneyland Paris resort has two parks—Disneyland Park (the castle park) and Walt Disney Studios Park (the other park).
Paris is smaller compared to Orlando’s or California. The rides In Paris are different to WDW. I love America, but space mountain and Thunder mountain really disappointed me as the Paris versions are far superior.
Also the shows in the studios really are wonderful, you could rope drop the studios, do the shows, tower of terror (also different to WDW) and avengers (old rock and roller coaster).
Your choice comes down to whether you want the more traditional Disney experience, or a mixture of more modern things. Paris Disneyland is very much the typical Disney style of park, like Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney Studios is most similar to Hollywood Studios.
Don't skip rides because you've been on them in America. The versions at Paris are slightly different and in some cases much better. For example Twilight Zone, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain are all much better versions at Paris.

Depending on what your plans are and what you want to do. Sit down restaurants are needed to be booked but you can go to sit down restaurants in the village or fast collection places.

BENEFITS OF DISNEYLAND HOTEL STAY
Distance . The Disney experience . The Themed Rooms etc.
When you book a Disney hotel the tickets are heavily discounted.
- Package is Hotel + Tickets
- Hotel guests also get to book restaurants 12 months in advance whereas off site guests are only able to book them 2 months out.
- Extra Magic Time
It may be more expensive though as the price of the hotel is so high and the cheaper ones are further out are walking distance from the parks. The cheaper ones (Santa Fe and Cheyenne) are a pleasant 15-20 min walk down the river.
Think about the EXPERIENCE - the food, character meets, the hotel designs , everything that adds to the Disney magic... it’s hard to explain really.
You definitely need a car for Davey Crocket Range BUT is even cheaper. Like you pay for the package including park tickets (2 nights/3 days) 10% less than the park tickets would cost alone. So they literally pay you to sleep there.

More Hotel Info:
- Hotel Chayene - Lovely themed hotel for children. Rooms were plenty big enough.
- Disney Hotel New York - THE ART OF MARVEL - the superhero station for meet and greet which is exclusive to that hotel. Service was great, dinner at downtown excellent, rooms are lovely. The walk is not far at all and in fact you might like that it's near the Disney village in case you want to pick up some non-Disney food. It is a 10 minute walk to the parks.
- Disney Newport Bay Club Sequoia Lodge - the theme is a bit rustic style lodge like the one in the United States, styled like an old hunting lodge. It's beautiful. clean, comfortable surrounded by pine trees and little beaver statues that are really cute. It’s older than some others but the theming, and the cast members are always lovely!
It is outdated but I feel it’s all part of that ski resort type theme. During winter months, they light the open fire which is amazing. The cast are all brilliant, especially in the golden forest club. The buffet there in Hunters Grill is also a favorite! - Villages Nature Paris
- Davy Crockett Ranch - you'll need a car if you stay here.

Check-out time for all Disney Hotels and partner hotels is before 11:00 AM**. Do they have character meets in the hotels?
Every Disney Hotel except Davy Crockett Ranch.
Meetings are official only for Guests at the same Hotel. Sometimes the Cast Members check for the Magic Pass and if you are a guest of any other Hotel you can not meet the Characters. Sometimes the Cast Members don't check.
But for the Characters at the Marvel Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel you have to be a guest there because you have to make a reservation for the meeting at the App.
Tip: You might meet many characters by standing close to cast door
Disneyland Paris Dress Code
Adults and children over 12 years old can’t wear costumes that represent a Disney character because of young children getting confused for the real character. However, if you’re going during Halloween then you’re ok. On regular days, it’s a big NO!
Disney Premier Access One
Buy single access on rides that you don’t want to wait in line.
Premier Access One is a straightforward way to buy “skip the line” privileges at a single ride for a one-hour timeslot. Prices typically range from about €5 to €20 depending on the ride and day. You can see today’s pricing in the Disneyland Paris app.
The app is filled with links that will take you to the purchase page. Just look on the home page for things like “Buy a Disney Premier Access” or “Get in the fast lane!” or—on the “Buy” tab in the app—“Disney Premier Access.”
The purchase page usually starts by offering you either “Ultimate” or “One.” Once you click into the “One” option, you’ll be shown a list of rides at each park, along with their next available time slots and pricing.
With Premier Access One you don’t pick the time slot. You can buy the time that’s available or wait for it to roll forward.
Once you select the ride, you’ll select the guests (to be honest, I’m not sure how Disneyland Paris links different guests) and then have five minutes to complete your purchase.
Once your time arrives, you’ll go to the ride. Find the “Premier Access” entrance and scan your QR code. If you’re at the correct ride at the correct time (and you haven’t already used the pass), the light will turn green and you’ll go on through.
In case the ride breaks down during your time slot, your pass will convert and you’ll be able to use it for the rest of the day, and you can pick your one ride from a variety of options (including the one you originally booked).
Disney Premier Access Ultimate
Premier Access Ultimate differs from Premier Access One in three major respects. First, Premier Access Ultimate includes almost all the rides that have Premier Access queues at both parks. The one exclusion as of this update is Orbitron.
Again, as a reminder, not all the rides have Premier Access queues, and Premier Access Ultimate can’t be used at rides without Premier Access queues.
The second major difference is that with Premier Access Ultimate you can go to each ride at any time you want—you aren’t bound to a specific time slot. You’re still limited to one time on each ride and your Premier Access Ultimate is only good for the calendar day you bought it for. But you won’t be locked in to any specific hour for any of the rides.
With Premier Access Ultimate, you’ll scan the same QR code (found in the app) for each ride. There’s also a handy checklist within the app that tracks which rides you’ve used Premier Access on and which you have remaining.
Finally, Premier Access Ultimate is more expensive than Premier Access One. As far as I can tell, you usually can’t see today’s pricing for Premier Access Ultimate without a ticket linked to your account, but it costs roughly the same as buying all the Premier Access One times.
This means in most cases you’ll save money by just buying Premier Access One for the rides you need it for, though this means you’ll be waiting in line for some of the other Premier Access rides, and you’ll have to work around whatever time slots you get for Premier Access One.
Looking at one sample date where Premier Access Ultimate cost €120, the most expensive seven Premier Access One rides (of 14 available that day) totaled €84. If you were set on using Premier Access to skip the line at those rides, you’d next ask yourself, “Is it worth €36 to not worry about times and to save 10-20 minutes for each of the other 7 rides?”
So, rev up your day and get in the fast lane for some of our most popular attractions throughout the Disney Parks, whenever you want! Limited availability. Overtake the regular queue one time for all eligible and available Disney Premier Access attractions (except Orbitron). There are no dedicated time slots – take the day at your own pace and hop on whenever you want!
To use your Disney Premier Access Ultimate, simply present the QR code on your Disney Park Ticket or in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app at the entrance of the Disney Premier Access fast lane.
Children under 3 do not need Disney Premier Access Ultimate to join the dedicated line, but they must be accompanied by an adult in possession of a Disney Premier Access Ultimate.
If you would like to buy Disney Premier Access Ultimate for only certain Guests in your booking, please go to the official Disneyland Paris mobile app to purchase this product.
Same price applies for all Guests. Valid 1 day on selected date. Limited availability.
The cancellation terms applicable to your Hotel+Tickets package also apply to your Disney Premier Access Ultimate.
Some attractions may be closed without warning on the day of your visit. Please consult the height restrictions for each attraction to ensure you can ride on the day.
Disney Premier Access Ultimate should be purchased in advance before your trip. Each person needs one and price will be different each day.
Please note: Purchasing Disney Premier Access Ultimate gives you fast access to the eligible and available attractions but does not guarantee immediate access. The price fluctuates based on the busy / less busy days
Disney Premier Access One / Ultimate
Disney Premier Access at Disneyland Paris allows guests to join a faster queue for certain attractions. Guests can purchase Disney Premier Access One or Disney Premier Access Ultimate through the Disneyland Paris app.
How to use Disney Premier Access One
- Create or log in to the Disneyland Paris app
- Link your ticket, pass, or hotel package to your account
- Select an attraction and pay for Disney Premier Access One
- Receive a time slot and QR code
- Scan the QR code at the attraction's fast-track queue
How to use Disney Premier Access Ultimate
- Create or log in to the Disneyland Paris app
- Link your ticket, pass, or hotel package to your account
- Purchase Disney Premier Access Ultimate in advance or on the day
- Scan the QR code at the attraction's fast-track queue
What are the differences between Disney Premier Access One and Disney Premier Access Ultimate?
- Disney Premier Access One
Guests receive a time slot and can only use it once on the attraction they booked.
Disney Premier Access Ultimate
Guests can use it once on each eligible attraction and don't need to book a time slot.
If you want to “skip the line”, you’ll need to pay for either Premier Access One or Premier Access Ultimate
Many rides at Disneyland Paris do not have Premier Access, but almost all the most popular rides have it. Importantly, the longest waits at Disneyland Paris tend to be for character greetings, which do not have Premier Access.
Disney Rides That Uses Premier Access
At Disneyland Park, the rides with Premier Access are:
- Autopia
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
- It’s a small world
- Peter Pan’s Flight

Disney Premier Access comes in two flavors at Disneyland Paris—“One” and “Ultimate.” The basic idea is that “One” will get you skip the line privileges at one ride while “Ultimate” covers almost all the Premier Access rides. But there’s a bit more to it than that, so let’s talk about each of these in more detail…
Select Attractions with a Single Rider Queue.

- Crush’s Coaster
- Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop

Park Strategy With Disney Premier Access Ultimate
If you have Premier Access Ultimate, your touring strategy basically boils down to:
Ride the rides on Premier Access Ultimate whenever you walk past them
Come up with a plan to fit the the rides without Premier Access Ultimate into your day
Maybe you want to space out your Premier Access rides a bit more deliberately, but my only advice is not to save things for too late. Rides can break down, remember, and you hate to get to an hour before close and find Crush’s Coaster has closed and might not reopen today.
As for the rides (and character greetings) that aren’t on Premier Access Ultimate, you’ll want to get to those as early as possible to keep waits short. For the first hour or two of your day, this probably means saving rides with Premier Access Ultimate for later.
At Disneyland Park, the most popular rides and character greetings without Premier Access are:
- Princess Pavilion (character greeting)
- Meet Mickey Mouse (character greeting)
- Welcome to Starport: A Star Wars Encounter (character greeting)
- Disneyland Railroad
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Orbitron (Premier Access One available; not included in Ultimate)
It’s worth pointing out here that the character greetings often start later than park opening. You might opt to line up for them a bit early, though.
At Walt Disney Studios Park, the most popular rides without Premier Access are:
- Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop
- RC Racer
Is Disney Premier Access Ultimate Worth It?
While there’s always a large amount of subjectivity involved in “worth it” questions, my opinion (personal and professional) on whether or not Disney Premier Access Ultimate is worth it is pretty straightforward.
First of all, I think if you only have one day at Disneyland Paris resort, you should get Premier Access Ultimate. I definitely think I could plan a “perfect” day at both parks without Premier Access Ultimate, particularly if I spent some money (but less) on a few Premier Access One attractions. But this would be stressful and still need some amount of luck. If you’re planning one magical day, I think Premier Access Ultimate is a reasonable purchase.
If you have more than one day, I think you probably should skip Premier Access Ultimate on your first day and then evaluate your needs for your second day. There will be circumstances where you are able to get on most of the rides with Premier Access Ultimate on your first day without paying, and then you might decide that worst case, you’ll buy a few Premier Access One times the next day.
If you’re staying at a Disney hotel and have two mornings of Extra Magic Time, you probably won’t need Premier Access. That said, your vacation is probably a little more enjoyable if you get to sleep in an extra hour or so rather than stressing about rushing to the park gates.
As a final note, keep Disneyland Paris’s height requirements in mind when purchasing Premier Access Ultimate. It might make sense for two parents to have Premier Access Ultimate, for example, while you just purchase the necessary Premier Access One times for a little one.
Trains
Train station is easy to navigate. Tip: Take a photo on your phone of where you're going to help you navigate. Trains can be very busy but it should be fine. One thing to pay attention is your surroundings. There are horror stories about pickpockets can happen especially for first time tourists because you unfamiliarity. Being aware of your surrounding while travelling can help minimize such incidents.
What currency is used in Disneyland Paris?
Euro is the only currency accepted at Disneyland® Paris.
The parades can vary
Halloween is great fun. It’s nowhere near as big as the US but they have some decor in Main Street and Frontierland. There is a Halloween parade which is cool, with extra characters and regular characters in costumes. And fun spooky treats. Also the fireworks are different.
What Can I take into Disneyland Paris?
You can bring food and drink (no alcoholic beverages) into Disneyland Paris. Pack a lunch, snacks, and a water bottle to keep fueled all day.
Disneyland Paris enforces a maximum bag size of up to 55cm x 40cm x 25cm. Bags larger than this will not be allowed inside the park. Strollers and wagons are allowed inside but must be less than 132cm x 92cm.
Do you pay for food at Disneyland Paris?
Yes. There are restaurants for all budgets. For light meals our food carts and restaurants with counter or self-service are most affordable. Or you can fill up at one of our buffet restaurants, where you'll get great value for your money.
What is the cheapest month to go to Disneyland Paris?
Disneyland Paris on a Budget: It's all about Timing - Train, tickets and hotel prices all increase during this period, and at weekends. If you're booking a package holiday with Disney, the cheapest time to go is in between Christmas and spring.
How far in advance do I need to book Disneyland Paris tickets?
The tickets must be booked at least 8 days before your visit date. If you don't select this option, your tickets will be sent to you via e-mail a few minutes after your booking has been confirmed. Book your Disneyland Paris dream adventure.
How do I get to the Disney Parks from my hotel?
It's easy. Just take the free Disneyland Paris shuttle service.
The Disneyland Paris shuttles leave every 12 minutes, so you'll never wait long.
They run 7 days a week between 06.30 and 23.00.
You can jump off at any Disneyland Paris hotel or opposite the SNCF station at the entrance to Disney Village.
Guests with special needs can travel to the magic on one of our specially adapted shuttle buses.
Please note, the shuttles do not go to Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, Golf Disneyland or Disneyland Hotel.
When staying by the Eiffel tower, take the M6 & RER A to Disneyland..
Many signs you can't miss the change over from platforms. Use Google maps or city mapper (green logo) to assist you and remember to grab the Navigo Easy pass. Just load funds onto it.
But if you want a car, here are some options:
Uber
Bolt
Prestige
Ezyshuttle
DisneyCab
Heetch.
.
RER train takes you directly to Disney. It’s around 6 euros for a single ride. It takes about 90 mins from Paris. It’s straight forward, but you may have to get two trains depending where you are in Paris. Take the RER A (red line) to Marne la Valle, the train you require. So depending where you are, you may have to get a metro or other surface train to a station served by the RER A train
There’s 3 different packages at Royal Makeover
1) Bring your own dress / have makeover and photograph
2) Select a dress from the boutique and have makeover/photograph
3) Select a dress from the deluxe range from the boutique/ have makeover and a photograph
Parent Swap
Just wanted to share this tip in case people don’t know.
Parents can swap to take turns for a ride with their little ones. Parent swap is effectively used for parents who have children who are too small for the ride and parents can swap over - clearly so the child isn’t left alone. A card or a password will be provided so you could go to the front and do not have to wait,
You can also queue in single rider and still do parent swap…just a longer wait but still quicker than regular queue.
Passport
Please check your passport.
The recommended is to have 6 months expiry after travel.
Disability
All disability tickets are to be bought online now before going. They’ll be an option on Disney's website, probably under accessibility.
Skip Tax
Keep all receipts. Get the app. Get the barcode. Get some money. Once you have spent 100 euros it will give you a barcode.
You then scan the barcode at the machine at the airport. I got my refund the next morning!
Would they check item?
They can ask to see the brand new goods and if you can’t produce them they will invalidate the claim.
The goods you are claiming the tax back for should be in a brand new with tags / original packaging etc as you are exporting those goods back in to the country. They do random checks on the goods you are claiming for and if you can produce these goods as you’ve already checked them in if flying, packed at the bottom of the car or are not brand new with tags etc they will invalidate the claim and you will not get a penny back.
Given clothing doesn't come with packaging in Disney. I allowed my kids to wear them. Just left the nylon store tags on everything. Removed the paper price together where possible. Packed all claimed items in hand luggage and put the paper tags back on before claiming tax back. Any toys in boxes with packaging we kept sealed and opened at home.
