Why Explore Rome?

Someone ask me this question - Why visit Rome?

I took upon myself and ask during the time Rome was far to reach. So many questions to ask from a curious mind. Then I have the opportunity to visit the destination myself when I took a Mediterranean Cruise and it all changed my perspective. I now know why Rome is a must see and a favorite place to visit.

Just knowing the rich history of Rome, it is indeed a place to be called one of the must see! Rome is packed with history dating back thousands of years. From the ancient ruins of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum to the impressive Vatican City, visitors can immerse themselves in the past and learn about the city's fascinating history. I was in awe as the days go by.

The architecture is out of this world. Since Rome is home to some of the world's most iconic architectural wonders, including the Pantheon, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Trevi Fountain, if you have love architecture and enthusiastic, you will be in awe of the stunning buildings and structures scattered throughout the city. I was every moment!

Exploring the art and culture of Rome was fun. And Rome is a hub of art and culture, with countless museums, galleries, and exhibitions showcasing works by some of the greatest artists in history. Strolling inside the Vatican is sooo surreal. You can explore the Vatican Museums, the popular tour to the Sistine Chapel, the climbing the narrow stairs and the dome. How would you like to attend mass in their language in St. Peter's Basilica? It was amazing! Even though I do not understand the language I know in my heart, it was one of the best mass I have in my life. as you stand in the center of the Basilica, you never know how many miracles have come through this place. You never know the many stories that came through from the many visitors and that really made my trip beautiful. There is so much history to learn, to understand and to explore! The paints inside Sistine chapel is from ceiling to the bottom and from side to side, no spot is without a paint by Michaelangelo.

The huge pillars, the life size statues, the changing guards ceremony and the many travelers that comes through just like you and me, wanting a glimpse of the St Peter's Square and if you come on Wednesday, you might be lucky to see the pope!

There are countless other cultural institutions around you can go for an adventure. Be bold to explore when you're in Rome. Like everyone tells you - when in Rome, be a Roman. Observe and act like locals. It doesn't have to be fancy when traveling. In fact, it is best to experience what locals do.

And the food is great! If you love cheese, there's plenty made of various kind. Italian cuisine is renowned worldwide, and Rome is no exception. From delicious pasta dishes especially if you love pasta like me and pizza to gelato and espresso, visitors can indulge in Italy's culinary delights. Pizza is one you must try when in Rome. They are delicious!! Additionally, Rome is home to many fantastic bars and restaurants offering a wide selection of wines and cocktails.

The vibrant atmosphere in Rome is a bustling city full of energy and excitement. With its lively piazzas, bustling markets, and vibrant street life that I tripped just looking around and visitors can immerse themselves in the city's lively atmosphere and experience the true essence of Roman culture.

I would go back to Rome as a globetrotter when I get a chance to explore some more for there's always new when you go the next time.
